When we’re confronting the unknown, sometimes any movement feels like a relief, but in the long run, is it?
A dear friend of mine reflected this dilemma back so perfectly,
“When I’m navigating change and I first take time to gain clarity from within I actually save time as well as angst. Yet, this is so hard for me because when I’m facing uncertainty, I want to make things happen on the outside first – and I often successfully do just that.
But when I force external change too soon, I later discover that the decisions I made were miscalculated and now I have to spend more time, energy, and money to unmake them. It would be far more efficient if I could slow down and look within before grabbing externally.”
